FREE Meditation Group Begins at Essex Wellness Center

Essex, Connecticut – Expanding the scope of free healthy experiences this summer, Essex Wellness Center is hosting a FREE weekly Meditation Sitting Group every Wednesday, 10-11 am and 6:30-7:30om, through the end of September at Essex Wellness Center’s Fitness on the Water upstairs studio at 8 Novelty Lane in Essex.

These Mindfulness Meditation sessions, led by Licensed Clinical Social Worker Elizabeth Hale-Rose, MSW and Deborah Sodergren, encourage each individual to create an awareness of wandering thoughts and how these thoughts and feelings move in patterns. This meditation practice enables an individual to develop an inner balance that leads to stress relief and a sense of calm.

Elizabeth Hale-Rose specializes in treating mood and anxiety disorders and integrates mindfulness into private counseling sessions to help individuals achieve their goals, which may range from lowering blood pressure and reducing cravings to improving work concentration and quality of relationships.
